Community Involvement

Our Commitment to community is largely what brought Tupelo Flo to Korezone Fitness and our therapists to Tupelo

It all began when Tupelo Flo’s founder, Jolene Volpe,  was introduced to Ciara Moynihan. They were both volunteers at an Edmonton charity event (What a Girl Wants) to raise money for the Lois Hole Women’s hospital. It was an enthusiastic meeting between the two young entrepreneurs. Ciara was all too happy to share her plans for a new fitness studio; soon to become Korezone Fitness!  They decided to meet again to brainstorm as Korezone wanted to feature Massage Therapy in their space. Even though, originally, Jolene was not to be working with Korezone, she wanted to see such sincere and passionate beacons for healthy living succeed.

Very recently, we took part in an event for a women’s shelter where the women were provided a luxury night of dining, massage, pedicures, manicures, make up while their children took part in stories and play. The magical evening culminated with festive family photos provided to the grateful women.

We also visit schools and corporations to speak on wellness issues and perform chair massage for staff.

One of Jolene’s passions is speaking at junior and senior high schools, teaching student’s breathing techniques, visualization and relaxation skills.

Both teams involve themselves with community and charitable events to stay connected and give back whilst learning great life lessons!
